SHIPPING POLICIES

Gear Junction will ship items anywhere in the United States (Domestic). Shipping costs are the responsibility of the Buyer, and can be calculated at checkout based on the exact dimensions, weights, and shipping location through a third part vendor (UPS or USPS) when available. For select items when pricing is favorable (non-fragile, small but heavy, etc.), Gear Junction will utilize the USPS flat rate system.  We can typically get items boxed and sent within 1-2 business days. Expedited Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is typically not available.

UPS Delivery provides detailed online tracking. USPS can be cheaper for smaller packages, but detailed tracking is not available and estimated delivery times are not guaranteed.

DAILY SHIPPING CUTOFF TIME

Orders placed after 2pm Mountain Standard Time will not be processed for shipping until the following business day. Please Contact Us with any questions or special requests regarding shipping times.

SHIPPING RATE & CARRIER INFORMATION

Our shipping rates are determined by your location, the product's weight, and, in some cases, the size of the product. Our default shipping method for larger / more expensive items is UPS, because they are generally less expensive and provide better insurance and tracking services. For smaller items, items that are not fragile, or items that are particularly heavy yet small, our preferred carries is the USPS Flat rate options. Please note that all shipping times listed above (including expedited service) are in business days only. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are excluded.

ADDRESS & REFUSED PACKAGE POLICY

All Shipments require a complete and accurate shipping address. We will not refund buyer incurred shipping costs on packages that are returned to us as non-deliverable. Additionally, any freight charges assessed by the shipper for returning a refused package will be assumed by the buyer. We reserve the right to deduct any incurred charges from your refund.

BIKE SHIPPING POLICY

SHIPPING NEW BIKES

New bikes purchased from The Gear Junction will be disassembled, packaged, and boxed by one of our professional bike mechanics prior to shipping. The customer must agree to have the bike reassembled by a reputable bike shop upon delivery, and acknowledge that doing so is a requirement in order to receive any warranty support from the bicycle manufacturer.

SHIPPING USED and DEMO BIKES

Used bikes purchased from The Gear Junction will be serviced, and any necessary repairs to make them functional and safe to ride will be completed by one of our professional bike mechanics prior to disassembly and shipping. Used bikes purchased from the The Gear Junction will have signs of wear and tear, and it is understood by the customer that the bicycle is being purchased in used condition. As with a new bike, the customer must agree to have the demo bike reassembled by a reputable bike shop upon delivery, and acknowledge that doing so is a requirement in order to receive any warranty support from the bicycle manufacturer..

IF A BIKE IS DAMAGED DURING SHIPMENT

If a purchased bike is damaged due to shipping, the carrier is responsible, and Outdoor Gear Exchange will file a claim with the carrier.

SHIPPING INSURANCE POLICY

Items under $100 are automatically insured by the carrier. Items over $100 will be insured through the carrier courtesy of the Gear Junction. Should at item become damaged, the Gear Junction will file a claim and seek to receive the full amount of the refund from the carrier.
